Welcome to the Schroon Lake Guide
Discover local business and events in the Adirondack Mountains, making your visit unforgettable

Our History
The Schroon Lake Weekly Guide was created in 1942 by Milton Rayburn, a Brooklyn native who summered on Schroon Lake with his family. He handled everything—from planning and design to advertising and finances. Originally printed locally as weekly posters, the guide is now produced by a Glens Falls printer capable of handling larger formats.
Over time, it evolved into its current form: published three times each summer with wider distribution and more advertisers. Still a staple for visitors and seasonal residents, the guide provides quick, essential information for enjoying Schroon Lake in the heart of the Adirondacks.
